ORC North Texas

ORC centers attention on providing psychological services to immigrant individuals and families and educational services to various and different community groups

Our Work in North Texas

Immigrant children and youth face significant challenges as they adapt to American culture, reestablish community and friendships, and adjust to North Texas's new schooling and educational expectations. ORC provides counseling sessions to children, youth, and families to understand their complex experiences, issues, and new social environment. The psycho-social counseling service enables children, youth, and families to manage different situations and circumstances, adopt coping strategies, and develop problem-solving skills.

Play Therapy

Play therapy is to children what counseling is to adults. Play therapy utilizes play, children's natural medium of expression, to help them express their feelings more easily through toys instead of words.

Parenting Training

This aspect of ORC's psycho-social counseling service enables mothers and children to work together to manage different situations and circumstances, adopting coping strategies and problem-solving skills.

Mental Health & Counseling

The ORC addresses mental health issues such as PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders, domestic violence, ADHD, psycho-somatic illness, and inter-generational conflicts. The ORC services include individual counseling, family and play therapy, among others.
